New week — new feature. We are happy to introduce Voice Cloning to our corporate clients.

What's new?

Clone your voice in English and use it in 29 other languages. The recording takes only 5-10 minutes, giving you a multilingual voice clone. Here are the languages that you are now able to speak:

Why is it cool?

🌍 Global reach: your digital twin can now speak fluently in languages you've never learned – from Spanish to Japanese.

🤝 Personal touch: create personalized content in your own voice, ensuring you connect with your audience in the language they understand.

🛠 How to use?

Go to Voices
Create New Voice.
Start recording your voice. You will read a few scripts. It will take 5-10 minutes.
Finish recording with consent. Submit your voice.
Find your clone in the list of voices and start using it in 29 languages.

We are thrilled to announce that expressive avatars are now live in Synthesia.

What are expressive avatars?

Our latest generation of AI avatars understand what they are talking about and follow the sentiment of the text. It means they deliver their scripts like real actors, with the appropriate tone of voice, body language, and lip-syncing. For example, they can appear and sound sad if the script is sad or energetic and positive if the text is inspiring. Expressive avatars are paired with expressive voices.

Which languages are available with expressive voices?

With a new generation of avatars, we released expressive voices in 28 languages. Here is the list:

What emotions can avatars show?

It entirely relies on the script. Avatars can be excited, sad, confident, grateful — a massive spectrum of emotions.

Here are a few tips on how to make avatars emotional:

🥹 Use expressive words: to show enthusiasm, add something like: “Fantastic!“, “Great job!“.
❔ Use punctuation: exclamation for excitement or urgency, question marks showing curiosity or frustration, and ellipsis to show uncertainty.
🙁 Try using old-school emojis: :) and :(.

How to find expressive avatars and expressive voices?

All expressive avatars and voices are marked with a purple star icon.

How to use expressive avatars?

Sensitive topics: for many videos you need the speaker to be empathetic, understanding, patient, helpful and serious. 📹 See an example.
Complex topics: expressive avatars can be engaging, supportive, and inspiring. When you need to explain something step by step, they will help guide your audience through the process. 📹 See an example.
Sales/marketing: new avatars can be really excited talking about your product or service you provide.

Why are expressive avatars cool?

People instinctively seek visual and auditory cues to engage with and understand video content. Our new avatars accurately replicate these cues, making communications not only more engaging but also more effective. ✂️ Trimming UX update

We're excited to share that our new Trimming UX update is now available for all Synthesia users.

What’s new:

Split videos: easily divide any uploaded or stock video into segments.
Create scenes: transform segments into separate scenes.
Edit freely: modify each segment according to your needs.
Duplicate & rearrange: copy segments and change their order for optimal storytelling.

Why is this cool?

This update makes editing videos in Synthesia simpler and faster. You can:

💻 Upload a screen recording and split it into scenes for a perfect voiceover.
📹 Choose only the best parts of a stock video to use, and easily cut out the bits you don’t need.

Plus, it really cuts down on editing time and makes your workflow much smoother.

How to Use It?

First — select the video and click on Trim.
Splitting: move the slider to where you want to split and click Split at Time.
Moving Segments: just drag and drop it where it needs to be placed.
Creating Scenes: to make a new scene with a piece of the video, right-click on it and select Add to New Scene.

🎨 Create your first Brand kit

Exciting new update in Synthesia for corporate plan users: now you can create and apply your company's Brand Kit.

🎨 What is a Brand Kit?

Your corporate colors, logo, fonts, and custom (or just favorite) avatars.

🖊 How to create a Brand Kit?

Find a new tab in the sidebar labeled Brand Kit.
Click Create Brand Kit.
Add corporate fonts, a color palette, select your favorite avatars, and upload your logo.

👨🏼‍💻 How to apply the Brand Kit?

When you start creating a new video, simply choose the Brand Kit. Every time you open the color picker, add an avatar, or type in some text, Synthesia will suggest elements from your Brand Kit.

💘 Why is this cool?

With the Brand Kit, you can easily apply your company's style to all videos created in Synthesia. Create a Brand Kit once, use it every day.

⚡️ Is it available for me?

Brand kit feature is available just for enterprise plan users.

👥 Live Collaboration: co-edit, comment, share

We are happy to introduce Live Collaboration to our corporate plan users. This feature transforms how teams create videos together. Say goodbye to endless feedback loops and countless versions of the same video, and hello to a more efficient way of collaborating.

💡 Live Collaboration is about

Co-creating: you will see your teammate’s cursors, the scenes they are working on right now.
Feedback: you can share your opinion on every element of the video while editing.
Sharing: anyone with "Can comment" permission can now enter a comment-only mode, making feedback loops quicker and more efficient.

⚡️ Why it's worth trying: working together within a single app allows each team member to contribute, leading to better content quality and streamlined workflows.

✍️ You will notice, that script editing is currently limited to one person at a time. We're excited to expand this functionality in future updates.

This year is incredible! Today, we are introducing Layers — another nice feature to help you edit the video and create complex scenes.

What you can do:

👉 Select layers easily: You can right-click and choose the layer you want to edit.
🖱 Drag element even if hidden: Move elements smoothly even if you have already created some complex scene.

How does it work:

Right-click in any place in the editor
Choose Select
Find the element you want to move or edit

It's all about making designing easier and creating awesome videos without any design skills.

We are excited to share the news: the Dialogue feature is live. Now, you can add two or more avatars to every scene and imitate communication in the videos. Role-play videos are much more engaging and interactive; following the discussion is easier than listening to a monologue.

We're excited to share the latest update to our Synthesia platform: AI video assistant 3.0. This feature allows you to edit and refine text in the script box.

🌟 What you can do?

Rewrite: use to check your word choices and fix it.
Optimize length: make the script shorter or longer.
Adapt tone of voice: make your script sound informative, professional, casual, engaging or confident.
Summarise: highlight key points from the text you entered.

✨ Why it’s cool?

You can transform any text into a well-crafted script. You don’t need skills to create a video that sounds great.

🔧 How to Use AI Video Assistant 3.0:

Open the video: create the new one or the one you’ve edited already. Make sure you have some text on the scene.
Highlight any part of the script
Click Edit with AI: re-write text, make it longer or shorter, change tone of voice (casual, professional, friendly, etc) or summarise.
Check the result > If you are happy with it, replace the original text or regenerate it

Adapt any text you have into a script that engages people and makes them want to listen.

We're thrilled to introduce Avatar Builder.

Easily customize your avatar's outfits with your brand colors and logos to align with your brand. Use it to create relatable avatars for organizational changes, global team training, or IT security training, all while showcasing your brand's identity.

👕 What's New?

Customize Clothing Color: Enjoy the freedom to mix and match! You can change the colors of various clothing items like t-shirts and suits independently.
Add Your Logo: Brand integration is now a breeze with Brandfetch. You can place your logo on any layer of your avatar's clothing.

🛑 Things to know:

Logo addition is only available for corporate plan users.
Available for 20 Avatars Only: This includes Alex, Anton, Axel, Carla, and many others.
Not for Custom Avatars: At present, custom avatars are not supported.

🔧 How to Use:

To start, go to Avatars > Create Avatar > Avatar Builder > Choose and name your avatar > Change clothing color > Add logo > Generate > Start using!
